Thank you for visiting West Covina High School's WASC (Western Association of Schools and Colleges) Website! The stakeholders of WCHS will be undergoing our WASC visitation next year. This will be a time when a visiting committee made up of administrators, teachers, and other staff from districts all over the state will come to interview our students, observe our teachers, witness three days of normal school operation, and talk to community members from WCHS. This visit is intended to make sure that what we have reported in our self-study book is accurate and that the quality of education we offer at WCHS is held to a high standard.
WASC is an accreditation process that typically has happened every 6 years (with a three year mid-term visit to make sure we are on the right track) at WCHS, and we are hoping to earn another 6-year accreditation with this visit. Our staff, students, community members and parents are preparing well for this intensive observation and are creating an action plan that we believe will move WCHS forward and guide us through the next six years. We further hope that this action plan will help maintain our reputation as a school that prepares our students well for the future and gives them many options upon graduation.
This site will provide you with access to the documents of our 2010-11 WASC Self-Study process that will be written by the WCHS Faculty, Students, and Parents. Please continue to visit this page. Thank you.
